The issue in the thread is a behavior where after the software is properly licensed and opened a few times you may get locked out of the editor. If you find a solution for getting your software licensed, do NOT mark the discussion resolved or answered. I remember that the store scanned the box to activate the software when I purchased it. I believe if you buy the software from Adobe for download, they give you a code as part of the purchase transaction which you need to copy down (screen print or cut/paste)from the web page. I also got a redemption code to load the software via download. I bought Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements as a bundle on DVDs at Staples. Photoshop Elements and Photoshop Premier Elements (the video software) each require separate serial numbers. Save the redemption code and serial numbers somewhere as you need them to transfer the license from one computer to another or to re-install the software. Once you enter the serial number, you will be good to go. You enter these in the license this software area accessed from the start trial screen. You will get serial numbers for your software. If you did, you need to go to and enter the redemption code. You may have gotten something called a redemption code. Then Click on Plans on the top, Under My products (left panel) you should be able to see the serial numbers. Once you are in then go to Manage Your Account. Then click on “License this software” and enter the serial number for the product again. Now go to the desktop screen and right click on the Photoshop Elements icon and then click on Run as administrator. The above steps are going to reset the preferences of the Photoshop Elements and that is the reason Photoshop Elements will ask to enter the serial number for the product again.I've tried reinstalling it from the disc, but it made no difference. (Note: If you are not able to find the ProgramData folder, then probably it's hidden, to unhide it, you may try this) Premier Elements 15 Video Editor problem since 1809 Update - Microsoft Community I updated to 1809 this morning and now my Premier Elements Video Editor will not run. Then go to the location C:\ProgramData\Adobe and then rename the folder SLStore to SLStoreOLD.Go to the location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe and then rename the folder named SLCache to SLCacheOLD.( Note: Below steps are for Windows computer): There is no good excuse, in my opinion for such important partners to so badly screw up a release/update through poor coordination. Please try the below steps to see if this fixes your problem It seems to me that Adobe is probably one of the main third party companies used by Mac users for design, etc. Having searched a number of forums to solve this problem it appears that I’m not unique in having these problems with Monterey. This has been very costly and I can see no other reason for it than missteps in cooperation between Adobe and Apple. I’m living on a fixed income and whatever I can make from my photography business. Very recently I purchased a new iPad Pro. I’ve been using Apple computers since 1984 and have spent many thousands of dollars on your products. So far this has cost me many hours and almost a month of lost business, plus $200 for service. I’m now having to download most of my photo files from the Cloud and reinstall Elements. They had to wipe the hard drive, clean install Mojave and drag over the user data from the backup manually. They had the same problem with the backup. I finally took the machine and TimeWindow drive to a service provider. I tried to recover the older OS (Mojave) through TimeWindow backup, but it would not complete. They told me I shouldn’t have done the upgrade. The Adobe Elements 2021 program that I use for my business would no longer open. I recently upgraded my MacPRO OS to Monterey.
